People Expo – Taranaki
Tuesday 21 March –
Great people, great jobs, great workplaces – helping you make it happen
Delivered in partnership by DairyNZ and Dairy Women’s Network.
People is a hot topic right now. Farmers tell us every day and we can see the impact.
DairyNZ and Dairy Women’s Network have partnered to deliver four People Expos in the Canterbury, Southland, Taranaki and Waikato regions during March 2023.
These Expos will be inspiring, credible, relevant, and fun, and create a sense of pride, change and community. They will look inside and outside of dairy for ideas and stories while ensuring the Expos remain about the change dairy businesses face.
We have a fantastic, high calibre line up of speakers to inspire, engage and entertain farmers.
Shamubeel Eaqub – a leading workforce specialist economist who will speak to global and regional workforce trends and why businesses must act differently and look in new places to stay successful. The numbers show it will never be easier to employ people than it is today. If that sounds scary you need to hear from Shamubeel.
Lee Astridge – a business owner and people specialist with extensive experience in what it takes to find and keep people on farm. Learn about what it takes to be competitive in having a hot shot team.
Aaron Jay (AJ) – Hear about Aaron’s story from the East End of London to founder, owner and managing director of HortUs, a high performing business built on and for people. Be inspired by what is possible when you keep it real. AJ’s pride in his company is exceeded only by pride in his family and his story and ideas is something you don’t want to miss.
Callum Eastwood – One of DairyNZ’s senior scientists will show how DairyNZ is looking to the future in our research to make better jobs and better farming businesses. Get the credible dirt.
Hayden Lawrence – a dairy farmer who tries new things – from 18-month lactations to day-to-day tech. Find out how he has changed the job on his farm, why, learnings and successes. And how these changes have been awesome for him and his team. Hayden will get you thinking about what is possible.
Right now, so many farmers have challenges in finding and recruiting staff.
So the People Expo is back – better and brighter – supporting farmers to have great futures in dairy.
